An Important Message from the Author” Customer Book Review Request Paperback Example

This is a generic customer book review request page that can be copied, pasted, and modified to your liking.

Notice how there are no hyperlinks in the paperback version:

I poured my heart and soul into putting together this book. Before we get into the meat and potatoes of this truly incredible story, I have one simple request: Please do not forget to leave a review for this book. The value of book reviews – even just a single review consisting of a few words – can have a tremendous impact on the trajectory of books, the people who read them, and the authors who write them.

If you spend the next 30 seconds leaving a review for this book within the marketplace you purchased it, it will not only help me enormously, but it will also help readers like you who are looking for amazing stories like the one you’re about to read.

Whether you choose to leave a review for this book now or later, by simply sharing one thing you learned or liked about this book, you will help support me in writing more books like this and more readers around the world who are seeking similar books.

I am grateful you have chosen to purchase this book and are taking the time to read it. You can find my other books at any book retailer.

Thank you,

Steven Matthews

Readers typically only leave reviews for books either if they are incentivized or if you make it really easy for them. This is why I ask them to “spend the next 30 seconds leaving a review“.

There are a few different ways you can make it easy for customers to leave a review for the book they’re reading.

  1. Amazon (Directs to Review Page for Most Recent Orders)
  2. Amazon Review Page for the Book: http://www.amazon.com/review/create-review?&asin= [ADD ASIN OF BOOK HERE]
  3. Since you can’t leave hyperlinks in paperback books, I make use of QR codes that lead directly to the review page when a reader scans it with their phone. This is the free QR code generator I use.

Book Back Matter Template

1. Conclusion / Summary

A summary that recaps & highlights everything learned in a non-fiction book.

2. About the Author

Both fiction and non-fiction books should always include an About the Author page in the book back matter.

Paperback Book About the Author Examples

Bestselling author Steven Matthews has lived a life full of adventure and intrigue. Born into poverty, Steven had to learn a variety of skills to survive. He’s worked as an app developer for a while, then opened series of restaurants, then started a cannabis growing operation, built it up, and sold it. He used the money to build and live in a tiny house for a few years while traveling around North America meeting people and doing odd jobs, he wanted to see more. When he realized he couldn’t take his house across the ocean, Steven sold it and moved to China for a few years… That’s when things got interesting.

Today, Steven lives in the desert outskirts of Las Vegas in a house he designed and built himself. Together with his miniature American Eskimo, Gala (Portuguese for “Lady Killer”), Steven is determined to share all of the experiences, skills, and stories he’s picked up over the years. He hopes that the content of his books will be able to help readers as much as it has helped him. He hopes to hit 100 published books by next year.

3. Recommended Books

The difference between the Recommended Books section for eBooks and paperback is simply that eBooks can include a link directly to where the book can be purchased online while paperbacks cannot.

QR Codes can be used to insert a link where the reader can purchase a book within a paperback. Create QR codes for free here.
